A Necklace of Wine Color Jasper Cubes with Lava Focal and Bali Beads

I love this necklace. I love it because of its elegant modern look. Yet, it also has some ethnic feeling.

The jasper cubes have a rich, shiny, Marsala wine color which is the designated “color of the year” by Pantone.  In order to add some interest to the necklace, I included a large lava Bead for a focal point and other smaller lava beads. To give them contrast and that ethnic feeling, which many of us like, I added textured silver Bali beads.

So that the long line of cubes would not look too dense, I separated them with tiny seed beads of the same color. It was meticulous and boring work, but it was worth it. Let me know what you think.

The charcoal gray lava focal is 20 mm. in diameter.   The smaller lava beads are 10 mm. D.

The jasper beads are approximately 10 mm. x 5 mm. x 5 mm.   The Bali beads are 15 mm. x 8 mm.
