African turquoise has more speckles and at times looks darker than the too shiny turquoise beads from China with their artificial color that we see all around. These stick-beads are natural.
I decided to contrast them with a very shiny and very smooth round large onyx focal. I framed this beautiful round bead with two black glass beads. I also chose a round silver toggle fastener to echo the round focal. I spaced the sticks with tiny black seed beads.
The one-of-a-kind necklace is 18 inches long. the onyx bead is 28 mm. in diameter. The sticks are between 10 mm and 15 mm long (approximately)
