Product Description
Aurora Borealis is a kind of finish added to crystal beads, a technique invented by the Swarovski Company. The technique leaves the beads with shimmering rainbow colors. In this case, the sparkling colors are blue, purple, aqua, and silver.
Because the beads are faceted, I decided to introduce angular type beads and chose these rare Art Deco ones from the 1920s. They are made out of glass and encased in gold-filled frames.
The necklace is fashionably long and continuous at 39 inches. I didn’t put a clasp in it, so that you could fold it in half, tie it in the back, and then use it as a short, double necklace.
This is a dazzling necklace, figuratively and literally.
The blue vintage beads are about 22 mm. x 10 mm.
The Aurora Borealis beads are 6 mm. There are 142 of them in this necklace.
The necklace will arrive in an attractive jewelry box.
