This Boho pendant has a very impressive, handmade, sterling silver pendant with a carved dark green aventurine mask in its center. For thousands of years, masks and sun-like images were part of ritual life among the Aztecs of Mexico. This beautiful pendant represents both.
I didn’t want just to hang it on a silver chain, so I made for it a complementary chain made out of semiprecious black obsidian beads and repeated the color of the mask with small aventurine rondels. I also added silver beads to repeat the silver of the pendant.
The one-of-a-kind necklace is 38” long (including the pendant)
The sterling pendant is 2 ½” D.
The black oval obsidian beads are 20 mm. x 8 mm. (3/4”x5/8”)
The silver balls are 10 mm. D.
The silver toggle is 5/8” D.
The necklace will arrive in an attractive jewelry box.
