Product Description
I love jasper with its infinite colors and patterns that nature designed for them. Jasper stones are often named for the places where they were found. However, many times somebody with an imagination gives them names based on what the stones remind him/her of. Thus, there are, for example: Dalmatian jasper, Zebra jasper, Sesame jasper, and Picasso jasper.
In this spirit, I decided to use my imagination and named a few jasper pendants, including this one, “Pocketbook pendant.” The shape of this stone reminds me of a slick and elegant real pocketbook hanging on a chain.
This particular “pocketbook” pendant is a Brick Red jasper. It is 45 mm. x 35 mm. or 1 ¾” x 1 ¼” and hangs on a gunmetal chain 38” long (or almost 40” with the pendant).
I added 2 Brown Goldstone beads and 3 black florets on each side of the pendant to enrich the necklace’s look.
