Product Description
A beautiful 3” coral tree pendant hangs on a unique chain made out of millefiori chips in black, white, and coral colors. The contrast between the chips and the smooth coral makes this necklace fun and different. In accordance with the current fashion of wearing long necklaces, this one is 33’’ long; with the pendant, it is 36” long.
It is a one-of-a-kind necklace and ends with a pewter hook and eye clasp.
The millefiori glass technique goes back to ancient Rome, although the beads from those days were called mosaic beads. The term “millefiori” became official in 1849. “Mille” means a thousand in Italian, and “fiori” means flowers. It is a labor intensive technique of glass making, as each item is individually and painstakingly handmade. Read more in my blog on this website.
