Like a Rorschach test, this pendant looks different to different people. To a few, it looks like a star in the sky; to others, like a star fish, and yet, to others, like a sheriff’s badge. Whatever it looks like, you have to admit that it is attractive.
It is a sterling silver (925) pendant with an intricate design which has a real turquoise stone in the center. I was planning to hang it on a regular silver chain, but it didn’t look right. I then decided to make my own chain, using these pewter rings which repeat the dark and light shades of the pendant. I added a few turquoise rings to break the monotony of the long chain.
The star is approximately 2” x 2” and the whole length of this one-of-a-kind necklace is 24 “.
