I got these beautiful cubes from an ex-jeweler friend who bought them over twenty years ago but didn’t remember what they are. I spent a lot of time researching them and came to the conclusion that they might be autumn jasper because of their rich, burnt- rust color and creamy/ beige veins.
Whatever they are, they are unique, beautiful and old. I accentuated them with bronze florets on each side and made a chain for them from cream and orange glass beads as well as brown wooden rondells.
The necklace is 32 inches long and ends with a gold-filled toggle clasp.
I made a companion necklace, which is 29 inches long. THE TWO MAY BE BOUGHT INDIVIDUALLY OR SEPARATELY. Either one would look great with the yellows, tangerines, oranges and other of the season’s colors. They are $175.00 together.
